Terms of service

These terms apply to your use of Done City, provided by Bednal Limited (Unit 4 Clifford Court, Cooper Way, Carlisle, CA3 0JG, company number 12582198). By creating an account you agree to them.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information. Keep your sign-in methods (passkeys, linked Google or Apple accounts, two-factor backup codes) secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.

Using the service

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempts to break or probe our security, no interfering with other users. We may suspend accounts that do.

Payments

Done City is free on the Settler tier, which has limits: your city grows to level 5, you can keep up to 3 habits, and you can't connect tools or health data. Full access is paid:

• Founder's Pass plans are monthly or annual subscriptions. A new plan starts with a free trial if you haven't had one before: 30 days on the web; in our iOS app, the App Store's free trial, which ends on the date the app and the App Store show before you subscribe. We ask for a card when the trial starts and charge it when the trial ends, unless you cancel first, then at the start of each period until you cancel. We email you 14 days before each annual renewal. You can cancel at any time in Billing, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. If a renewal payment fails, you keep full access for 7 days while we retry the card; after that, your account moves to the Settler tier.
• Passes are one-off payments sold before launch: the Founding Pass (full access for your first year from launch day, renewing yearly from one year after launch day on the card you paid with, unless you turn renewal off on your founder page or, after launch, in Billing), the Mayor's Charter (full access for life from launch day, no renewal, limited to 1,000), and Gift a Founder's Pass (a single-use code for 12 months of full access from when it's redeemed, or from launch day if redeemed earlier).

When paid access ends, you keep your city on the Settler tier: building beyond the Settler limit pauses, your connected tools pause, and nothing you built is taken away.

Before you pay, we show you the price, what you get, and how renewal and cancellation work. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP), or US dollars (USD) where offered, and include VAT where applicable. Payments on the web are processed by Stripe. Purchases in our iOS app are made through Apple under Apple's terms, and you manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings.

Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to cancel certain purchases within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Our passes and plans are services: if you ask for a paid plan to start straight away and then cancel within the 14 days, we may charge for the service you had up to then. Our Refund policy explains how to cancel, and our 30-day refund, which goes further. Plans bought by an organisation for its team are business purchases and have no 14-day cancellation right.

Our liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time from your settings. We may close it with 30 days' notice, or immediately for serious breach of these terms.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you about material changes in advance. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction (consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also use their local courts).
