Done City for Notion

Pick a task database and the property that means done. When a row flips to done, it lands in your city as XP.

Supply Lines are part of full access (a Founder's Pass). On the free Settler tier they're paused.

In Notion: Row's Done box ticked. It arrives as 20 XP, and Your building rises.

What earns XP

  • Row marked doneIts checkbox is ticked, its status moves into Notion's Complete group, its select is set to an option that means done, or its Completed date is filled in.+20 XP
  • Small rowA Size of S, XS, Small or Quick, a number of 1 or less, or, with no Size, a Low or P4 Priority.+10 XP
  • Large rowA Size of L, XL, Large or Big, a number of 5 or more, or, with no Size, a High, Urgent or P1 Priority.+40 XP
  • Quest“Close a Notion task” can be one of the day's 3 quests once Notion is connected.+40 XP

Synced work shares a cap of 400 XP a day with your other tools, AI apps and automations, and doesn't build combos. Only what you finish from the day you connect counts, and each task earns once (a recurring one, once per occurrence). Reopen something in Notion within 24 hours and its XP goes back; after that, nothing is ever taken away.

Connect Notion

  1. Open Done City, go to Supply Lines and choose Connect Notion.
  2. Notion asks which pages Done City can see: share your task database.
  3. Back in Supply Lines, choose your Task database and save. Nothing syncs until you do; then its open rows show up on Today (they earn when you finish them).
  4. Optional: pick the property under “Done when”, “Due date” and “Size from”. Left alone, Done when uses a Done checkbox, else your Status, else a Completed date, else a select with a Done option.
  5. Mark a row done. Changes arrive within about 15 minutes.
  6. Optional: turn on “Also mark rows done in Notion when you tick them here”.

What it reads, and what it doesn't

Reads

  • Rows in the one database you choose: title, the done property, a Completed date, the due date and the size (Size or Priority).
  • Task titles are kept for your activity feed and deleted 90 days after you finish the task.

Never

  • Read pages or databases you don't share with it
  • Change anything in Notion, unless you turn on marking rows done there
  • Show your tasks to Neighbours or teams (they see your city and XP, not your work)

Your Notion token is stored encrypted. Disconnect any time in Supply Lines (and remove the connection in Notion's settings if you like); everything Notion built stays. More in the privacy notice.

Questions

Does it read my whole workspace?
No. It sees only the pages you share with it on Notion's screen, and syncs only the database you pick.
Which databases work?
Any database with a checkbox, a status, a select or a Completed date that marks rows done. If it has none, Supply Lines says so instead of syncing. Size (or Priority) and a due date are optional.
What does marking rows done in Notion do?
When it's on, ticking a task here marks the row done in Notion the same way it's read: it ticks the checkbox, sets the first Complete status or done option, or fills in the Completed date with now; unticking clears it or sets it back. It's off unless you turn it on.
Is it included in the free tier?
Supply Lines are part of full access (a Founder's Pass). On the free Settler tier they're paused, and everything they built stays; tasks, habits and Build Blocks in the app keep working.
